Frequently Asked Questions

Can I run the free plugin and Pro at the same time?
Yes, from Lazy Blocks 4.4.1 onward. Both plugins stay active and that is the expected state. A free copy older than 4.4.1 is deactivated automatically when Pro is activated, with a notice on the Plugins screen explaining why.
Which controls are Pro only?
Nine of them: Posts, Taxonomy, Users, Link, Units, Token Field, Panel, Divider and Message. Everything else, including Repeater, Gallery, Image and Rich Text, is in the free plugin.
Does Pro change how I write block output?
No. Handlebars, PHP and theme templates work the same in both. Pro adds the RichText component for editing a value on the canvas, and moves block CSS and JavaScript into their own editors instead of an inline style tag.
What happens to my blocks if I deactivate Pro?
Nothing is deleted. The values stay in the block, and a control whose type came from Pro shows "Looks like this control does not exists." in the editor until Pro is active again. Conditional logic stops hiding controls, and a RichText component stops being editable on the canvas.
